Welcome to Bane of Sin!

Your primary aim is to become the most notorious Vampire of the round, building your Bounty - the price on your head - higher than all other vampires.

How do you do this?
By building your armies of Scions (lesser vampires used for hunting), Mradu (warrior vampires used for attacking), Mradim (warrior vampires used for defending), Dansii (used for spying), Dementia (Thieves used for stealing blood, plasma and coins) and Dar (Assassins used to kill enemy mradu and humans) and using them to grow, steal and destroy from those threatening your goal!

Hunting
Your primary method of growth, especially in the early stages on the game is Hunting.
Hunting involves sending out your Scions for a number of turns, costing blood (to keep them fed!), to bring in Humans and Coins. If you’re really lucky a Fated too, these can be sacrificed at the alter for extra battle attacks. You can send your Scions hunting for humans by clicking on the 'Hunt' link and inputting a number of turns to hunt. (10 turns at a time is a good number to start off with!)

Feeding
If you run out of blood, you can drain some from the humans you've captured - Just click the 'Feed' link. You can also drain Plasma, used for attacks.

Converting
Humans are vital for your growth - Humans can be converted into Scions, Mradu or Mradim (from the 'Convert' link), or drained for their Blood or Plasma (see 'Feed' above). More Scions means you can send more hunting, increasing the humans you capture and coins found upon them but it does cost more blood when you send them out. You can always send less than all of your Scions hunting if you are low on blood!

Caves
Exploring the caves is dangerous, and sometimes a few of your Mradu and Mradim may be lost. However, Fangs can be found in the cave. The losses and gains that you receive will depend on the number of Mradu and Mradim you have in your crypt. It takes two turns to take one step, so get your compass out and take a step in the dark!

Fangs
As you explore the vast caves you'll discover that you are not the first to wonder in its' depths, you will find skeletons of vanquished werewolves, by taking their fangs you are able to enchant (upgrade) your Stakes that your Mradu carry in to battle and/or the Mirrors that Mradim defend themselves with. By upgrading the weapons at the supply store you can increase the potency of them from +15 to a maximum of +20. Each upgrade requires more fangs, so get collecting...

Weapons
Buying weapons increases your power, making it harder for people to attack you and easier for you to attack others. You can buy more weapons for your offensive and/or defensive units at the store to increase your defensive or offensive power.

Mradu and Mradim
More Mradu makes your offense army stronger, enabling you to attack bigger targets! More Mradim makes your defence army stronger, harder for others to break you!
As you progress you can equip both your mradu and mradim making them even stronger! Each Mradu and Mradim has a base strength of 10 and each item you equip them with increases it. However you can only use as many items as you have Mradu or Mradim.

Defensive worth
Scions carry a +1 defence, and can not be equiped with weapons. Mradim carry a +10 defence and can equiped one weapon a piece.
One important thing to note! - You're required to have a certain amount of Mradim to guard your Humans, to prevent them from escaping and to control your Scions and Underground units, to prevent them from revolting. You need at least 1 mradim for every 5 humans/scions and/or 1 mradim for every underground unit, whichever is larger. You can see your current safe maximums on your 'Overview' page. If you have too many Humans, Scions and/or Underground units, then every cycle Humans will escape and/or Scions and/or Underground units will revolt until you are under your safe limit figures! Also you cannot go over twice the amount of one troop (either mradu or mradim). If you are brought to this point through battles you cannot convert troops to anything else without ensuring you have the right defence and offence to support your vampires.

The Graveyard
You receive 2 Graveyard Endurances each hour, and you can store upto 48 of them. The graveyard can prove to be a very helpful way of gaining blood, plasma, weapons, turns..etc. but beware as you can easily loose the bones you have collected if your dig turns up possessed skulls! Exchanging bones for special items (things with a * on the end) such as ribs for underground operations requires multiples of 100 to be exchanged.

Battling
Battling is great for taking down other player(s) - when you attack someone you steal a portion of their Scions, Humans, Coins..etc.. Your strength is compared to that of your opponent(s), directly affects how much you will be able to steal and kill. When you battle you do risk losing some of your Mradu, especially if you are weaker than your opponent - but you also kill some of their Mradim if sucessful. Attacking both reduces an enemies worth as well as increases your own, and is a very powerful method of growth, especially in the middle and later stages of the round! Attacking other vampires’ affects your battle points, if you fail an attack your battle points will drop if you are successful, your battle points will increase. Battle points are a sign as to how aggressive you have been this intern affects the net worth and bounty, both positive and negative. You receive one attack point every 10 minutes, and can store up to 12 attack points total. Each attack uses one attack point and 20 turns. As well as a certian amount of Plasma to send your Mradu on the attack (keeping them fed!). You can drain some plasma from your humans, or 'Frenzy' for it (see below).
To attack another player(s), find them from 'Attack Vampires' or from 'Vampire Ranks', click their name and then the 'Initiate Attack' link at the bottom of their profile. If you know the 'ID number' of a player you want to attack, you can also put that directly into the 'Attack Vampires' page. There are six different battle types, each boosts gains in one thing but reduces gains in another. Useing these different battle types, you can maximize your gains from battle(s). Only using the slaughter attack will gain you nothing but you will kill an increased number of the enemy use this when you really don’t like someone. Attacking other vampires affects your battle points if you fail an attack your battle points will drop if you are successful your battle pots will increase.

Underground
Underground troops are used for Spying, Theft and Assassinations - known as Dansii(Spies), Dementia(Thieves) and Dar(Assassins). You can have upto 12 operations, and it'll cost you 1 blood and 1 plasma for every unit sent, in addition to 2, 5 and 10 turns respectively. You must not have more than 1 Underground Unit for every 10 Mradim at any time.

Alertness
Your alertness increases as you are infiltrated by underground troops from other player(s) there is no other way to increase the alertness. As your alertness increases it becomes more likely underground operations will fail. If an underground operations fails, the target is notified about who did it and what they were after. If undergrounded was unsuccessfull some of your Underground units that were sent will be killed. If an underground operation succeeds, the target only know what went missing or who was found dead.

Frenzying
The 'Frenzy' link, on the left Navigation menu, allows you to spend turns sending your Scions out to gather Blood or Plasma with a nice amount of Coins. As with hunting, more Scions means a bigger harvest - More Blood, Plasma and Coin for the same number of turns.

Cycles & Turns
You start the game with 1,000 turns to use, so you can get a good feel for the game right away. Every 'cycle' (one every 10 minutes) you'll receive 10 turns. You receive these turns whether you are logged in or not, and your account can hold a little over 2 days worth (equivalent to 3000 turns), so you can sign in and use them whenever you have time. If you've joined late in the round, don't worry: A new round starts on the 1st of every month, so you can use the rest of this round to get use to the game, and plan your strategy for the top spots of next round!

Crypts
In the world of Bane, Crypts are used for various reasons. Some welcome the new and planning for the day that they will be strong, some welcome only those that aim for large bounty’s and others are groups of friends that know each other from other games or real life. Crypts allow members to donated Blood, Plasma, Coins, Weapons, Fangs and Fated. These can then be sent back when needed. A Crypt forum is also available, allowing the Crypts to share information among it's members.
